This is some old Medallion patio furniture - about 30 years old.  Note the paint
was coming off. The customer wanted this to be restored to the original color
of Buttercup. As far as age is concerned, this set was immaculate and had
been cared for very well. The vinyl straps are in such good condition because
the chairs have cushions,  which roll up for storage. The chairs still had the
original manufacturers stickers on them.
This set is truly unique. This is Tropitone Seychelle II. I certainly raised some eyebrows at
Tropitone when I asked them for identification of this discontinued set. The customer had tired
of the original powder blue and chose the older (and discontinued), strap color number 226 to
match some of the color in cushions and pillows she had made for this set. The frames are
exceptionally shiny as we had this set soda blasted instead of our traditional sand blasting,
which leaves a much smoother surface on which to paint.
This is a pretty cool little glider bench. The client purchased this on EBay a while back as is. Although
it doesn't look like it (and I don't know what she paid), she got a good deal on this. Something like this
can be difficult to find. Both ends of the bench under the arms at the bottom of the panels read "The
Bunting Co., Inc. Phila., PA" stamped into the steel. Someone has tried to strip this bench and
probably had a pretty rough time at it. There are about 3 layers of paint on this - 2 enamels in green
and 1 layer of white latex over the top. The brown areas are rust from the steel being exposed to the
weather. The rocker bars in the front have been replaced with a jury-rigged bar. Note the grey bar on
the left. We will be having 2 new rocker bars made by our local welder to look just like the original
ones. The right front of the bench is rusted through a little on the bottom. The color selected for this
piece is the lighter of the two greens (to keep in the traditional kitschy look), and that color has been
identified as "Vero Beach" in the ICI Dulux Master Palette, although Dulux has taken it upon
themselves to rename this color as "Grace" since the time the "Vero Beach" color had been chosen.
Welcome to the Pace's III Before and After Page. As we work, we will be
including before and after photos of our projects with a brief description of
each. We will also show current projects with just one picture, so please check
back to see the results. I plan to have a Q&A page soon, so please email me
with any questions you might have about our parts, processes or our site at
